14th Annual Mack, Jack & McConaughey (MJ&M)!

The 14th annual Mack, Jack & McConaughey (MJ&M) fundraising weekend, held April 23–24 in Austin, Texas, celebrated another incredible year, announcing it has raised more than $90 million for five charitable organizations dedicated to children’s education, health and wellness over the last 14 years.

MJ&M, the joint fundraising initiative created by Academy Award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey, ACM Award-winning recording artist Jack Ingram, and Texas coaching legend Mack Brown, supports CureDuchenne, Dell Children’s Medical Center, HeartGift, just keep livin Foundation, and The Rise School of Austin.

The two-day celebration kicked off on Thursday, April 23, with a star-studded Gala at ACL Live at The Moody Theater featuring a headline performance by three-time GRAMMY® Award-winning artist Jelly Roll. The festivities continued Friday, April 24, with a Golf Tournament, Fashion Show presented by Neiman Marcus featuring L’AGENCE, and the signature Jack Ingram & Friends concert showcasing Jack Ingram alongside Ryan Bingham, Kaitlin Butts, Paul Cauthen, Robert Earl Keen, John Fullbright, Randy Rogers, and more.

Thursday’s Gala set the tone for the two-day event, with an unforgettable headline performance by Jelly Roll, bringing his signature blend of genre-defying sound and storytelling to the stage. Known for his widely recognized journey of redemption and commitment to giving back, Jelly Roll’s performance aligned with the spirit of MJ&M’s philanthropic mission.

Friday’s Fashion Show spotlighted Los Angeles–based women’s fashion brand L’AGENCE, presenting its Spring/Summer 2026 collection in a captivating runway show that moved from daytime elegance to evening glamour. The collection featured crisp shirting, fine tailoring, destination-ready linen sets, lightweight denim and a coveted selection of silk dresses and gowns. Hosted by Camila Alves McConaughey and Sally Brown with presenting partner Neiman Marcus, a Saks Global luxury retailer, the event brought L’AGENCE’s signature day-to-night elegance to Austin in support of children’s causes.

Friday evening’s Jack Ingram & Friends concert served as the triumphant finale to the events, bringing together some of the most distinctive voices in Americana and country music for what Brown, Ingram, and McConaughey often call the best night of music of the year. The all-star lineup included Ryan Bingham, Kaitlin Butts, Paul Cauthen, Robert Earl Keen, John Fullbright, and Randy Rogers.

Funds raised during this year’s events will have a transformative impact on the five beneficiary organizations, directly supporting critical programs in children’s healthcare, education and wellness across Texas and beyond. Since its inception in 2013, MJ&M has raised more than $90 million, cementing its position as one of the country’s most impactful charitable initiatives.

Plans are already underway for the 2027 event, which will take place April 22–23 and mark MJ&M’s 15th anniversary.

Program Highlights: Blending Wellness & Fun at Navarro

Program Highlights: Blending Wellness & Fun at Navarro

Students at Juan Navarro Early College High School in Austin had an unforgettable day filled with hands-on learning, wellness, and fun thanks to a special visit from guest speaker Mr. Jophrey. He kicked things off by sharing engaging and eye-opening facts about fruits, helping students better understand the nutritional benefits behind what they eat.

From there, the experience became fully interactive as students stepped into the role of creators – blending and juicing their own unique combinations. The room was filled with excitement as everyone sampled different flavors, with watermelon-pineapple and honeydew juice quickly becoming crowd favorites.

The energy continued to build as the group transitioned into Mr. Jophrey’s video game truck, where 24 students were able to play at the same time across six different screens and consoles. It was a high-energy, shared experience that brought students together in a whole new way.

To top it all off, Jonathan and Isabella were thrilled to win a juicer during the event raffle – taking a piece of the experience home with them. Overall, the day was the perfect blend of education, creativity, and connection, leaving students with both new knowledge and lasting memories.

Student Spotlight: Connor Ross

Student Spotlight: Connor Ross

Connor Ross, a junior in the JKL program in Longview, TX, has spent the past four years growing through connection, wellness, and new experiences. What keeps him coming back is the community: “You meet new people, build connections, and even friendships outside of JKL,” but it’s the wellness pillar that has had the biggest impact, helping him move from a difficult place in life to a more positive and grounded one. Connor has carried these lessons beyond the program, bringing home healthy recipes, applying JKL mindset practices in his daily life, and gaining confidence through experiences such as guest speakers and college visits.

As one instructor, Ms. Jacobs shared, “Connor embodies self-love growing in strength, confidence, and character through JKL. Connor has built healthy habits and even overcome his fear of speaking in front of peers.” For Connor, JKL has been more than a program; it’s been a space to grow, stay grounded, and discover what’s possible, and as he puts it, “I’m grateful to be here.” We’re excited to see Connor finish out the JKL program strong this year and continue to elevate his photography skills.

WISE Scholarship Program Update: Growing Community Through Service

WISE students have been making a meaningful impact in their community through volunteer efforts with Angel City Football Club, supporting local elementary schools with garden makeovers and revitalization projects. Over the past few months, students have rolled up their sleeves to transform outdoor spaces into vibrant, welcoming environments—building new raised garden beds, refreshing existing ones for the new season, and maintaining compost areas to promote sustainability.

Their efforts didn’t stop there. From weeding and mulching to replanting and creating colorful arts and crafts displays, students helped bring new life and energy to these shared spaces. More than just a beautification project, this experience has been an opportunity for students to give back, work as a team, and take pride in creating something lasting for younger students to enjoy.

Together, they continue to show how small acts of service can lead to a big impact.
