Shannon Mabrey Rotenberg
Executive Director, just keep livin Foundation

Shannon Mabrey Rotenberg
Shannon Mabrey Rotenberg started her career with non-profit organizations and the entertainment industry while at Creative Artists Agency, a talent and sports agency based in Los Angeles. She was a program director in their philanthropic division for six years before helping to launch the just keep livin Foundation.
Shannon’s work with non-profits extends beyond the walls of the just keep livin Foundation. She serves on the Board of Directors of Communities in Schools Los Angeles West and the Board of Angels for Baby2Baby. She is involved with Teach for America and Hollygrove, an EMQ Children & Family Services Agency. She works with the Harold Robinson Foundation which is committed to providing impoverished children with camp retreats which are designed to strengthen confidence, independence, build character and develop leadership skills. She is also the founding-chair of “Kidstock” an annual event which benefits One Voice’s Scholarship Program in Los Angeles. Additionally, Shannon volunteers her time overseeing The Faro Foundation– a philanthropic family foundation whose primary focus is helping children and education related causes.
Shannon grew up in Okmulgee, Oklahoma and graduated from the University of Oklahoma. Shannon currently resides in Los Angeles, California with her two sons, Luke Eli and Colt Carlisle.

Erica Helwick Doyle

Erica Helwick Doyle
As the Managing Director for the just keep livin Foundation, Erica is tasked with managing fundraising events, business development, donor relations, marketing, and corporate partnerships for the organization. Prior to joining JKL, Erica worked in Celebrity Relations for City of Hope, a cancer hospital and research center based in Los Angeles. In addition to nonprofit work, Erica has an extensive background in the entertainment industry, beginning her career as an assistant to a film agent at Creative Artists Agency. After CAA, Erica spent time working in film development at Universal Pictures prior to joining the West Coast Bureau of InStyle Magazine, where she helped manage talent bookings while also contributing to the magazine as a writer and reporter. These days, Erica feels incredibly lucky to be a part of an organization whose mission and philosophy she believes in so deeply. Her favorite part of j.k. livin is attending the annual field trip at Camp Ubuntu at Canyon Creek where she gets to spend a weekend connecting with amazing JKL students and helping them break out of their comfort zones. Originally hailing from New Orleans and graduating from Northwestern University, Erica currently lives in Sherman Oaks with her husband, Chase, and their daughter, Savannah.

Jenny Rizzo

Jenny Rizzo
Jenny is the Program Director for the just keep livin Foundation. She has 17+ years’ experience teaching English, ESL and Physical Education for both private and public schools in Indianapolis, Los Angeles and Dallas where she was awarded Teacher of the Year in 2007. Her educational background includes a MA in Curriculum Development from Indiana Wesleyan and a BA in Education from Indiana University. Her passion to inspire students and teachers to achieve their maximum learning / teaching potential motivated her to become an Assistant Principal for a short period of time before joining the team at just keep livin. Having worked in the nonprofit sector since 2015, Jenny has developed a strong sense of devotion for youth development. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her daughter Olivia camping and attending outdoor concerts.

Leon Clayborne

Leon Clayborne
Leon Clayborne serves as the Director of Program Strategy and Community Impact for just keep livin Foundation based in Los Angeles, CA. He is directly responsible for the implementation and execution of the national afterschool program curriculum and is well regarded by his colleagues as someone who motivates everyone to show up as their best. His energetic and empathetic leadership style has been the foundation of his career. In his current role, Leon is the liaison between high profile sponsors/donors and forty two title 1 high schools in 15 cities across the United States. Over the last 20 years, he has established a love for community service and experiential educational enrichment programming which encompasses creating and organizing events that provide first time/once in a lifetime experiences for inner city youth.
Leon is a graduate of Cal State Dominguez Hills and currently lives in the South Bay area with his wife and three beautiful daughters. In his time away from the office, he is the ultimate #girldad while also running races and DJing weddings/corporate event

Andrew Giang
Special Projects Director

Andrew Giang
Andrew Giang is a Special Products Director at just keep livin who works on education and enrichment programs. Prior to joining just keep livin, Andrew worked as a consultant, writer, editor, educator, and community representative for underserved communities in Los Angeles, California, and Wahiawa, Hawai’i. His work has consistently addressed inequity and school climate issues in Title I schools, establishing recognized after-school programs and lasting partnerships that positively promote education and public health in the local community. Andrew holds a M.S. in Education from Johns Hopkins University as well as a B.S. in Biopsychology and B.A. in English from the University of California, Santa Barbara. In his free time, he enjoys reading, surfing, Los Angeles Lakers basketball, and New Orleans Saints football.

Jasmine Romero

Jasmine Romero
Jasmine has over seven years of experience in adventure facilitation. She feels lucky to have worked in a variety of beautiful settings including the Angeles National Forest, the San Fernando Valley, Ventura, Malibu, Ojai, and Joshua Tree National Park. She has created long-lasting adventures for foster, inner-city, high profile and international youth as well as formerly incarcerated adults and persons with special abilities. In addition to adventure facilitation, she also has a background in outdoor experiential learning, leading emotional intelligence and leadership workshops for students in the Palmdale, Lancaster, Watts, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks and Los Angeles area. Jasmine is a graduate of Cal State Northridge and currently lives in South Central Los Angeles. In her free time, she teaches yoga to foster youth, enjoys trips to the beach and loves to dance. Jasmine values environmental conservation, authenticity and living a healthy lifestyle.
