Over the weekend of March 19th, 113 students from our Los Angeles-area just keep livin programs, along with jklivin staff and program instructors, enjoyed an incredible three days at Camp Ubunto. Located in Lake Hughes, CA (about an hour outside of LA) and funded by the Harold Robinson Foundation, Camp Ubunto seeks to equip students with the tools to achieve, connect and thrive by providing them access to a meaningful and engaging summer camp experience in a safe and nurturing environment. Many of our students had the chance to conquer fears on the ropes course, meet new friends, develop an appreciation for nature and showcase their talents. Camp Ubuntu strives to create a sense of purpose and accomplishment in each individual, while working towards building communities through communication and support for schools and families. Camp Ubuntu always leaves a lasting impact on our students and staff, and becomes a definite highlight of the year. We would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the Harold Robinson Foundation for providing the funding and resources to make the jklivin camp experience possible.
